Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

• Mood and energy ratings (1 to 5) from mood check-ins and the Nightly Unwind
• Feelings you tag, such as calm, anxious or sad
• The optional note you add to a check-in (up to 280 characters)
• Which Care practices and tools you finish, and when
• What you'd like Juni to help with when you sign up, when it touches on wellbeing (for example, "Handling big feelings")
• Insights Juni draws from these, such as "your energy tends to dip on Mondays," and the summaries used to write them

We don't collect precise location, data from Apple Health or Google Health Connect, or any diagnosis or medical record.

We ask your permission before saving mood check-ins or your Care history, separately from our Terms. Until you say yes, nothing is saved, and the rest of The Life App still works. We'll ask again, separately, before sharing this information with anyone other than the service providers below.

Only to provide the features you use: saving your check-ins, counting your Care streak, showing your mood trends, and, if you turn on Juni's writing help, Juni's insights and answers. We don't use it for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't use your check-ins or notes to train AI models.

From you, when you use The Life App.

We share consumer health data only with service providers that process it for us under contract:

• Supabase, which hosts our database, in the United States
• Vercel, which hosts the app, in the United States
• Google (Gemini), only if you turn on Juni's writing help. Mood details are sent only if you've also agreed to us saving your check-ins, and only as averages and your most-tagged feelings. Your check-in notes are never sent.
• PostHog, our analytics service, in the United States, only while “Share how I use the app” is on and you've also agreed to us keeping your check-ins and Care history: that you finished a check-in, and which Care practices you open, finish or leave. Never your mood or energy ratings, feelings or notes.

We have no affiliates that receive it. We never share it with advertisers or data brokers, and it's never shown to your Teams. Inside our company, only staff who need it to run, support or secure The Life App can see it.

We don't use location data or geofences around health care facilities.

• See it. Download everything we have in Settings > Privacy & data > Export my data, or email us.
• Know who has it. Ask us for a list of every third party and affiliate we've shared it with, and how to reach them.
• Withdraw consent. Turn off "Keep my check-ins and Care history" in Settings > Privacy & data. That also deletes your saved check-ins, Care history and the insights built from them.
• Delete it. Turn it off as above, or delete your whole account in Settings > Privacy & data > Delete account. We also delete it from our service providers. Database backups are overwritten within 7 days.

You can also email help@thelifeapp.ai from your account email. We may need to confirm it's you. You can use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof that they're authorized. We'll respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need up to 45 more as the law allows.

Appeals. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing help@thelifeapp.ai with "Appeal" in the subject. We'll answer within 45 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
